Good morning. My devotional teaches me that we must have a clear focus. A focus that benefits us to achieve our goals but it should also benefit others.  God wants us to be successful, and God also wants us to be giving to others.  We should write down our goals and post them in an area and pray on those goals.

Here is my morning prayer:

God of the Way, I am afraid.

I can't see a way forward. I’m traveling in the dark. My map is all wrong. I lost my gear.

But you are here. You are guiding. You will save. And I will sing your praise! Amen.

MLK Day of Service in Broadview Park - 1.18.2020

I posted the video of the MLK Day of Service that occurred in the Broadview Park community of Broward County.  Over 150 volunteers came out and gave their time to uplift a neighborhood.

Working on Public Safety Projects

I am up early working on a project and realized that I work with an amazing team. A $80 million public safety radio project is almost completed, and we are well underway in implementing another life saving measure in Broward County.

Overwatch, new video game

Collin enjoys playing his new video game, Overwatch.  Before he started the game he had to do 100 push ups, crunches, scissor kicks and calf raises. It is amazing how this motivation works. He is getting strong.

Accomplishments are Great, but the Results are the Reward

It is always refreshing to be recognized for the accomplishments that you have achieved.  I recalled being recognized for developing programs that resulted in 65 individuals in under served areas being given a second chance at employment.  I appreciated the acknowledgement; however, the reward was the impact it had on a community.

Negotiations

Negotiations require understanding on both sides to come to a common goal.  Although I have negotiated many contracts and agreements, the training center required additional sensitivity and understanding. I am looking forward to seeing this project break ground.

MLK Day of Service

MLK Day of Service is occurring in Broward County on Saturday, January 18, 2020.  I am proud to be associated with these types of programs because they help to enhance and uplift communities.  Since 2017, we have improved over 88 homes in the unincorporated area, and received over $580K from the State to assist with repairs of homes.

Great Partnerships, Lead to Great Results

I was reflecting on community partnerships, and I remembered a successful program that I created and led in Broward County.  The program focused on government services that can be done by non-profits with a requirement to hire individuals in economic distressed areas. Rise Above - Keep Working Hard

I enjoy working with my son on his game. We both believe it is a process to get better.

Today, a good friend of mine reminded me on the need to stay focused.  As Alpha Men, we are aware of the need to move Onward and Upward.

Welcome!  I use to have a blog, but for some reason I stopped posting. Well.....I am back.  This blog is intended to serve as a journal for me.
